Iran – Ramadan Conference: United against fundamentalism and warmongering, for peace and tolerance

On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, on Monday April 4, 2022, a conference entitled “United against fundamentalism and warmongering, for peace and tolerance” was held at Ashraf 3, the Mujahedin-e Khalq (MEK/PMOI) at the headquarters in Albania, which Ms. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) attended, as well as at the NCRI headquarters in Auvers-sur-Oise, France, where many Distinguished political and religious dignitaries were present. Many other personalities joined the online conference.

Delegations and representatives from Ukraine, Palestine, Egypt, Syria, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Jordan, Lebanon, Algeria, Tunisia, Kuwait, Mauritania and Muslim, Christian and Jewish leaders living in France addressed the conference. Speakers at the conference included Sid Ahmed Ghozali, former Prime Minister of Algeria, Salem al-Meslet, leader of the National Coalition for the Opposition and Revolutionary Forces of Syria, Bassam al-Omoush, former Jordanian Minister of Administrative Development and Ambassador of Jordan to Iran, Ahmad Al-Khalil and Eid Al-Naimat, Jordanian parliamentarians, Taisir Altamimi, former Palestinian supreme judge, Mohammad Amin Al-shakhari, former Tunisian Minister of Mines and Industries, Ahmad Al-Mosabli, adviser to the Minister of Publicity in Yemen, Monsignor Jacques Gaillot, Rabbi Moché Lewin, ‌ Deputy Chief Rabbi of France, Tahir Boumedra, former Head of United Nations Human Rights in Iraq, Anouar Malek, Author and former team member League Watchdog in Syria, Ahmed Al-Jarallah, Emeritus Author and Editor-in-Chief of the Kuwaiti newspapers Arab Times and Al-Seyassah, Tymofiy Mylovanov, Ukrainian Minister of Economic Development omics and Trade (2019-2020), Kira Rudyk, Ukrainian deputy, leader of the V oice Party, as well as Jalal Ganjei, president of the Commission for the freedom of religions and confessions of the NCRI.

In her speech, Ms. Maryam Rajavi blamed the entirely illegitimate and hated regime, which preserves its power at the cost of people’s lives, flesh and blood, resulting in poverty and hunger in Iranian society, which affects at least 80-70% of the population from the country. Mrs. Rajavi said: At the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, I pray for the release of my compatriots from the clutches of religious tyranny. She added: Our Muslim brothers and sisters in the Middle East are free from fundamentalism, terrorism and the evil incitement to war of the clerical regime. And we pray that the peoples of the world, especially the steadfast Ukrainians, will find peace and tranquility.

The NCRI President-elect pointed out, “Khamenei, with his horrible policies, is forcing people to work without pay and has made Iranian labor the cheapest in the world. It starves the vast majority of people. He plunders wealth and public property and drives the sick to death and the people out of their homes. But the poor, those who are fed up with the current situation and those who have been plundered by the mighty force of rebellion and revolt against the vulnerable Khamenei regime.

Mrs. Rajavi reiterated: The PMOI has raised the banner of equality and the fight against all forms of discrimination and oppression. Therefore, it has stood for gender equality and throughout its history it has stood for the freedoms and equal rights of oppressed ethnic groups and followers of different religions. Likewise, as followers of Islam, he opposed any aggressive expansionism and any intervention in other countries on the pretext of exporting the revolution.

Mrs. Rajavi pointed out: that Khomeini and his followers invoked the name of Islam to establish religious despotism and governance through torture, looting, misogyny and terrorism. For a time, they inflicted heavy damage on the entire political, intellectual, cultural and social fabric of Iran and the countries of the Middle East. Their religious deceit, however, was defeated in the face of the ideological perseverance of the PMOI and the generation after generation of sacrifice of its members. They are on borrowed time. After the overthrow of the regime, Iran’s destiny will be tied to freedom, equality and the separation of religion and state.

In his speech, Salem Al-Meslet recalled, “The Syrian people have suffered a lot at the hands of the Iranian regime, which has spread terrorism and extremism on a global scale… Our people have suffered a lot because of the atrocities that it has perpetrated in our countries. ,” he added.

Taisir Al-Tamimi said: “The (Iranian) regime is conspiring against the Palestinian people, and I call on all Arab countries and honorable people in the world to oppose this corrupt regime…. We stand with the Iranian Resistance in its struggle for freedom.”

Expressing the hope that members of the MEK in Ashraf-3 and the Iranian people will get rid of the clerical regime, Ahmad Al-Khalil pointed out that the Arab world has not been spared from the regime’s evil interference.

Eid Al-Naimat referred to his visit to Ashraf 3 and said that during the visit to Ashraf-3 museum, he witnessed the oppression the Iranian people had endured.

Ahmad al-Jarallah said that “the people and the whole world are witnessing Mrs. Rajavi’s efforts to put an end to this rogue regime, whose actions are hurting the Iranian people and the Arab and Islamic countries”.

Speaking via video link from Ukraine, Kira Rudik, described the pain and suffering of Ukrainians, especially women, and said, “I heard about what happened to you in Ashraf, and I want to tell you that now I know what you did. by.” She added, “I urge world leaders and organizations, you must act now,” she added.
